Mini Vacation: Park and Pool

My parents wanted to do a family vacation since we haven't been on one since Magnolia was only a few weeks old. My brother just graduated and starts working next week in Chicago, my sister's husband's job is very inflexible and it's hard to go very far right now with a 1 year old and a 2 year old. So they decided to rent a cabin about 45 minutes away on Lake Michigan this summer before things got uncertain and opportunities for a family vacation may be harder to come by. It was fun and we had great weather, but Dan stayed home and worked almost the whole week and my parents worked all day and just spent the evenings up with us! I said next time let's just do a four day weekend so everyone can take a couple days off work and spend more QUALITY time together, not QUANTITY.

So anyways, the place was called Chalet on the Lake in Stevensville, MI, just south of St. Joe. It was a group of cabins with some pools, tennis courts, playgrounds and was right on the beach. Our cabin was right in front of the park which was like a dream come true for Magnolia. The pool was just a couple steps away and the beach was less than a 10 minute walk. Some extended family came up for a day too and liked the place, had fun and are hopeful to maybe rent a cabin of their own next summer. We tried to play a little tennis, but although we remembered the racquets and balls, we only had flip flops!

Here are some park and pool pictures. Tomorrow I will post the beach ones!
