Sun Tea

Every summer I love to make (and drink) sun tea. It's easy. It's good. It's refreshing. I've also made it and taken it along to a picnic or outdoor get together. So make some tea tomorrow for your 4th of July celebration!

Here's how you make it.Sun Brewed Iced Tea

2 quarts of water
6 large mint sprigs
1/4 cup sugar
6-7 tea bags

Mix together and place in the sun for 2-4 hours. Remove tea bags and pour over ice. I keep mine in the refrigerator for a few days and it stays well if you keep it cold. A friend of mine adds a juice combination to the tea to make it a Fruited Mint Tea.
5 cups cold water
1 cup sugar
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
Something different to serve at a baby shower or a bridal shower. You can also add frozen berries instead of ice cubes or add the berries while the tea is steeping in the sun to add a berry taste to the tea. The berries also make a nice garnish to a glass of iced tea ready to drink!
