Night on the Town

Downtown South Bend organizes events on every 1st Friday of each month.  The first Friday in November was a Kid's Night Out theme so we took the kids out for a night on the town.  There were crafts set up in different stores, free kid's hot chocolate, face painting, a horse drawn wagon ride, a puppet show and more things that we just didn't have time to do.  It was really a nice family night.  The kids had fun and I got a little Christmas shopping done.  There are some wonderful local and handmade places to shop downtown.  If you are in the area and haven't gotten all of your Christmas shopping done, support some local businesses.  I was very happy with the prices too.  Nothing seemed overpriced and often I was surprised by how affordable most things were.
Henry had a hair raising experience.
On the wagon ride.

For December, the 1st Friday theme was Downtown for the Holidays with the Christmas tree lighting and Santa's arrival on a fire truck.  There were more activities for the kids and another fun ride around town so I will post on that outing soon.
