Children are a gift from God

My little Boothe has quite the personality. She loves to laugh and bounce and dance and absolutely LOVES dogs. Her first word a few weeks ago was Doggie and whenever she sees a dog she perks up and stares at it and says "da da da...". Good thing our dog, Zoe, is really good about letting her "love" on her. She also says "ma ma" and "da da" and babbles all the time.

This little one HATES the car seat and the last 9 months of car trips, whether short or long, have been absolutely dreaded by everyone! She also 99% of the time will not sleep in the car so we have to time our outings really well. Let's hope this changes once she is forward facing.

Last night, seriously, for the first time she slept through the night. This is absolutely the first time she has even remotely come close to or slept in any way resembling sleeping all night. You all, it's been a LONG 9.5 months!! She woke up a few times here and there, but put herself back to sleep each time after only a few minutes of fussing. Overall she was in her bed from 6:40pm until 6am. No feedings, no mommy, no mommy's bed! What a breakthrough. I need to let out a great big sigh....AHHHHH!!!

She's my baby and I wouldn't trade her for anything. I thought that after having one and going through all of the benchmarks of the first year, the second time around wouldn't be as big of a deal, but it is! It still amazes me when she crawls across the living room floor to get to the toy room or looks for Magnolia or says "doggie". And now that she is sleeping better at night, I like her that much more. A well rested mom is definitely a better mom!

We are going to have a blast playing, chatting, giggling, etc. Thanks Jenica & Dan for not only the pics, but for giving us the REAL things and reminding us what is important in life!! 4. So glad to hear you are sleeping for the first time in 9 months!! Crazy what these babies do to us?! But aren't they the most precious and worth every minute of missed sleep? The girls are beautiful! Blessings from VA!
