Easter Egg Hunt

Last Saturday, the day before Easter, we headed over to Valpo for a big family get together for my cousin's son's 1st birthday and an Easter egg hunt.  Lots of kids and lots of eggs to find.  The sun was shining and we had a wonderful lunch followed by way too many yummy desserts.  They are planning on doing this every year.  I love that my kids can grow up spending holidays with such a big amazing family.
They raise sheep and Boothe is an animal lover and couldn't get enough of them.  She wanted to hold one!  The night before Easter, she wasn't interested in what the Easter Bunny was going to leave in her basket, she wanted to know if she was going to be able to pet the Easter Bunny.
 The competition...I mean the kids.
Magnolia is such a generous, kind soul.  She intentionally passed up eggs so that the other kids would have more to find.  Those were her exact words.  AND when she opened up the first egg after the hunt, there were 2 stickers inside and the first things she said was, "there's 2, I can share with Boothe."  I hope her "nice gene" rubs off a bit on Boothe.

Opening up the eggs...the best part.

The bubbles were a hit.  Something so simple can keep kids busy for so long.

Thanks, Tom, Jackie and Michelle for hosting and organizing such a fun day!
