Easter Morning

The bunny was good to us this year.  I wish he still left a little something for me, but every year, no such luck.  We woke up early and played with their new things, found some eggs the bunny had hidden around the house and left for breakfast served at chuch.  Every Easter there is a pancake breakfast before the service.  After church we went out to lunch with David and Mary and went to my parent's house for dinner.  Tyler was in town and of course Brooke and the family came too.  Holidays are just the best and I love the traditions that have been established and developing since Magnolia was born.

The 4 grandkids on my side.  Boothe kept squeezing Raife and he would get mad and lean back on her.  He's almost as big as she is so she would fall back and so it took a lot of effort to get this picture.
And then Boothe's always doing or saying something to make us all laugh....

Easter Pictures

Pictures with the live bunnies/chicks/ducks each year at Traditions is always a big event for the girls.  For months every time we go back in to see the pictures of have some taken, they think the bunnies will still be there.  Henry was only 2.5 months in these pictures and he did so good.  Have I mentioned how in love I am with this little guy.  Also, thanks to Mimi for the darling Easter outfits.  She out does herself every year!

Easter Egg Hunt

Last Saturday, the day before Easter, we headed over to Valpo for a big family get together for my cousin's son's 1st birthday and an Easter egg hunt.  Lots of kids and lots of eggs to find.  The sun was shining and we had a wonderful lunch followed by way too many yummy desserts.  They are planning on doing this every year.  I love that my kids can grow up spending holidays with such a big amazing family.
They raise sheep and Boothe is an animal lover and couldn't get enough of them.  She wanted to hold one!  The night before Easter, she wasn't interested in what the Easter Bunny was going to leave in her basket, she wanted to know if she was going to be able to pet the Easter Bunny.
 The competition...I mean the kids.
Magnolia is such a generous, kind soul.  She intentionally passed up eggs so that the other kids would have more to find.  Those were her exact words.  AND when she opened up the first egg after the hunt, there were 2 stickers inside and the first things she said was, "there's 2, I can share with Boothe."  I hope her "nice gene" rubs off a bit on Boothe.

Opening up the eggs...the best part.

The bubbles were a hit.  Something so simple can keep kids busy for so long.

Thanks, Tom, Jackie and Michelle for hosting and organizing such a fun day!

More Cousins

It's hard to get a good, even decent, picture of 2 babies.  I'm attempting to get a picture of Henry and Raife together each month for at least Henry's first year.  So far we have pictures of them from December (Henry's birth and Christmas), January (Jackie, Michelle and Jonah's visit), February (Brooke's birthday) and here is March's glamour shots...

Maybe they will be a little better once Henry can sit up.

Henry will be 4 months old in a week from today.  No longer a newborn....

St. Patty's Day

Our church put together a float for South Bend's downtown St. Patrick's Day Parade this year.  We had never done a float for the parade before but it was a great morning for a parade with nice weather, lots of people participating in the parade and lots of people watching.  Our church has a bell tower with a copper/gold-ish/shiny dome so our float depicted that as the "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow.  The kids wore a rainbow of colors and had wands with colorful ribbons tied to the ends.

Parades are such fun events for kids.  We hope to visit Wakarusa for the Maple Syrup Festival Parade in a couple weekends and Milford for the Memorial Day Parade.  Our neighborhood has a 4th of July Children's Parade too that we enjoy every year too.

Apartment Therapy Post

Ohdeedoh featured Magnolia and Boothe's bedroom on a recent post.  Check out the full article here.  I was so happy with how the room turned out.  In my opinion it's even cuter in person so feel free to stop by for a personal tour anytime!
